Custodian San Antonio

Status: Full time

Location:San Antonio, TX 78232

Hourly pay: $13.00 to $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Variable based on church needs; evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed

Role snapshot

As part of a shift team, you’ll keep different facilities and grounds clean, safe, and ready for services and events. You’ll follow direction from the head custodian or shift lead and support occasional requests from ministry staff and event leaders.

What you will do

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, sanctuary, gym, kitchen, restrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, dust, and remove trash and recycling
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors; shampoo and steam clean carpets
• Restock supplies and keep custodial closets organized
• Set up and tear down rooms and furniture for meetings and events
• Follow safe use of chemicals and equipment; report repair needs

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 75 lb and push/pull carts over 100 lb; frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and ladder use
• Basic knowledge of custodial practices and power/hand tools
• Professional communication, reliability, and a team-first mindset
