About the Role
This remote opportunity is focused on supporting the administration, design, and overall management of an internal Digital Evidence Network as well as administrative networks. The role covers the day-to-day operation of the full technical infrastructure, including Storage Area Network administration, VMware administration, networking administration, Windows Active Directory, and Microsoft application servers.

What You’ll Do
- Assist with the administration, design, and overall management of internal digital evidence and administrative network environments.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the full technical infrastructure, including SAN, VMware, networking, Windows Active Directory, and Microsoft application servers.
- Administer and design storage provisioning and optimization for EMC VNX, Dell Compellent, Dell MD storage arrays, and related storage technologies.
- Administer and design the configuration and optimization of Ethernet network infrastructure.
- Work with Cisco IOS and NX-OS switches, Cisco firewalls, Cisco wireless access points, and other networking technologies.
- Administer and design Fibre Channel fabric networks using Brocade Fibre Channel switches and related equipment.
- Design, manage, and maintain a Microsoft Active Directory environment across multiple domains and sites.
- Administer and design multiple virtualized infrastructures using technologies such as VMware vSphere and Horizon View.
- Design, manage, and administer Microsoft Windows environments, including SQL Server, SharePoint Services, Windows Server Update Services, and antivirus update processes.
- Handle system configuration design and management, including operating system deployments, application deployments, software updates, patching, and infrastructure reporting.
- Use SCCM to support multiple-site environments.
- Develop, maintain, and execute backup and archival strategies.
- Maintain technical documentation and perform security audits required for certification and accreditation under NIST and DoD standards.
- Support infrastructure design and management, including hardware purchase requests, site planning, site deployments, and coordination with vendors to resolve software and hardware issues.
- Perform network and system design work in support of changing operational requirements.
- Perform other laboratory-related functions as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Hands-on experience with storage provisioning, administration, and optimization.
- Experience with EMC VNX, Dell Compellent, Dell MD storage arrays, or similar storage technologies.
- Strong experience with Ethernet network infrastructure and related optimization.
- Experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS switches, Cisco firewalls, and Cisco wireless access points.
- Experience with Fibre Channel fabric networks and Brocade Fibre Channel switches.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory in multi-domain and multi-site environments.
- Experience administering and designing virtualized environments using VMware vSphere and Horizon View.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows administration, including SQL Server, SharePoint Services, Windows Server Update Services, and antivirus update management.
- Experience with system configuration management, deployments, software updates, patching, and SCCM.
- Experience developing and maintaining backup and archival strategies.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
- Experience performing security audits in support of NIST and DoD certification and accreditation requirements.
- Ability to support infrastructure planning, hardware requests, deployments, and vendor coordination.
- Public Trust clearance is required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
