Pay: $16.00 – $16.50 per hour

About the Role

This opportunity is for a Customer Service Representative supporting commercial energy programs in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The role centers on delivering a high-quality service experience to applicants and program participants through phone, email, and online chat interactions.

This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to think quickly under pressure, and a consistent focus on professionalism. The goal is to ensure accurate information delivery, efficient issue resolution, and a positive experience for every customer interaction.

Work Schedule

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
• 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST

What You’ll Do

• Conduct non-scripted customer interactions via phone, email, and chat
• Provide information regarding rebate status, scheduling, submission procedures, and program guidelines
• Perform professional outbound outreach when required
• Review and assist customers with energy application inquiries and related program questions
• Document interactions accurately using call center technology and internal systems
• Support customers within a structured, paperless work environment
• Complete additional administrative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of professional work experience
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service or call center experience
• Strong computer skills, including accurate data entry and database navigation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism and positive energy in a team environment
• Experience supporting homeowners, contractors, or program participants with application troubleshooting
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze information and develop solutions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Typing speed of 45–50 words per minute preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Professional interpersonal skills, including courtesy and cooperation
• Willingness to work limited overtime when necessary
• Ability to sit for extended periods in a distraction-free environment
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering a positive customer experience
• Ability and desire to quickly learn and understand energy-related programs
