Job Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale a platform that brings licensed popular music into apps, connected devices, and physical spaces. In this role, you’ll work closely with a small, collaborative team to deliver end-to-end features across backend services, data systems, and web applications. You’ll have meaningful ownership, high autonomy, and the opportunity to lean more frontend or backend on larger projects while still thinking full-stack.

Status: Full-time

Compensation: $150,000–$180,000/year

• Cloud: AWS
• Backend: GraphQL API on Node.js services
• Data Stores: MySQL, Elasticsearch, S3
• Data Platform: Amazon Redshift data warehouse
• Streaming & ETL: PySpark pipelines and Amazon Kinesis
• Frontend: React (or similar modern framework)

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to architect, implement, test, and document features users love.
• Build and maintain APIs and SDKs that enable customers to stream music into mobile and web applications.
• Develop and improve internal web applications used by curators and support teams.
• Improve scalability and reliability as the platform grows, strengthening performance, resilience, and observability.
• Own work end-to-end—from discovery and design through delivery and iteration—while communicating clearly and proactively.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend: Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with Node.js.
• Frontend: Experience with React or another modern frontend framework.
• Databases: Comfortable working with SQL databases and/or document stores.
• Collaboration: Strong communicator who enjoys working closely with others.
• Cloud: Familiarity with AWS services; bonus if you’ve deployed with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
