Travel: Proximity to Seattle and willingness to travel is a plus. Please note that interviews may include an on-site component.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $150,000 – $175,000 per year (excluding equity)

Compensation may vary based on geographic location and relevant experience.

About the Role

This opportunity is for a Business Intelligence Data Scientist focused on product and user behavior insights. The role partners closely with leadership and product stakeholders to maintain business intelligence reporting, develop statistical models, and translate data into clear recommendations that improve product decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain internal business intelligence dashboards to support decision-making.
• Build statistical models to better understand users, usage patterns, and user needs.
• Analyze product features and measure their impact on user behavior and outcomes.
• Work with stakeholders to define questions, validate findings, and communicate insights clearly.
• Apply data privacy and security best practices when handling sensitive or high-volume datasets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science, with meaningful experience in social or consumer-facing applications.
• Strong experimental design and analysis skills (quantitative and qualitative methods).
• Experience working with high-volume data and performance-conscious analytical workflows.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Postgres and/or BigQuery.
• Strong Python programming skills for analysis and modeling.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort working on small, fast-moving teams and managing priorities independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PyTorch.
• Experience with Retool.
• Experience with Dataform and/or dbt.
• Familiarity with modern data privacy and security practices.
• Interest in open ecosystems and reading technical protocol documentation.
