About the Role
This opportunity is seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux and Windows System Administrator with strong Quality Assurance experience. The role requires deep systems expertise across both Linux and Windows environments, along with a quality-driven approach focused on reliability, security, performance, and compliance across infrastructure.
This position plays a critical role in designing, maintaining, securing, automating, and validating a storage platform while integrating QA best practices to support a reliable and resilient environment.

Salary: $125,000-$185,000 per year, depending on experience and skills
Background Check: Required

What You’ll Do
- Design, maintain, secure, automate, and validate Linux and Windows systems across infrastructure environments.
- Support reliability, security, performance, and compliance across infrastructure.
- Develop and execute infrastructure validation and testing plans.
- Build automated test scripts for system validation and deployment pipelines.
- Validate system updates, patches, and configuration changes before production rollout.
- Enforce documentation, change control, and release management processes.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to improve CI/CD reliability.
- Apply QA best practices within infrastructure environments to improve system quality and resilience.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Linux and Windows system administration.
- Strong experience with Linux server administration, including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Strong experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- Strong experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Strong experience with Python and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong experience with large storage management.
- Experience implementing QA methodologies in infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and routing.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with a strategic mindset in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- University degree required.
- STEM background preferred.
- Advanced degree is a plus.
- Ability to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
- Background check required.

- Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Microsoft certifications.
- Red Hat certifications.
- Experience in research environments.
- Bash scripting experience.
