Construction Worker

Pay: $21 - $24/hour

Position summary

This role supports facility upkeep across multiple program locations. You will handle general repairs, maintenance projects, cleaning support, and site readiness while helping keep facilities safe, functional, and well maintained.

What you’ll do

• Complete maintenance projects involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, general woodworking, painting, wall installation, minor construction, and general repairs.
• Respond to and complete work orders efficiently and in the correct sequence.
• Review work orders before heading to the site to make sure materials and tools are ready.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout facilities and perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Move furniture, handle deliveries, and support site setup as needed.
• Use troubleshooting skills to identify the best way to fix issues and communicate delays or urgent reassignments to a supervisor.
• Identify facility problems quickly and report them to management.
• Demonstrate safe use and care of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Prioritize urgent and time-sensitive issues first.
• Cover custodial duties or snow removal when needed.
• Travel to other locations as required using a company-provided vehicle.

What you’ll need

• 2 - 3 years of general maintenance experience in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, woodworking, painting, repairs, wall installation, and minor construction.
• Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical work throughout the day.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
