Cleaner/Housekeeper

Location: New York City, NY

Status: Contract (1099).

Pay: $164.00–$191.30 per day

Position summary

This contract role focuses on maintaining high cleaning standards across residential apartments throughout the New York metropolitan area. The work emphasizes detail, consistency, and adherence to established cleanliness and presentation guidelines. Final selection follows a paid trial shift.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned apartments, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and balconies.
• Use vacuums, steam machines, and ozone machines to address heavy stains on furniture and upholstery.
• Empty trash and follow proper waste disposal procedures.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns.
• Document missing items and manage lost-and-found items per procedures.
• Follow health and safety standards and use cleaning products correctly.
• Ensure unit security at all times.
• Document completed cleans with photos and submit required digital forms.

Requirements

• Professional cleaning or housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites. Driver’s license and reliable vehicle preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Ability to stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly as a 1099 contractor.
• Ability to communicate in English encouraged.
