About the Role
This opportunity is for a driven Strategic Operations Director focused on leading key go-to-market strategy, product operations, and business operations initiatives within a finance organization. The role supports a fast-growing education technology environment that provides communications tools for schools, educators, families, and students.
This position reports directly to the CFO and acts as a strategic right hand to executive leadership. The role is designed for a high-caliber professional who can manage complex cross-functional initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and help solve important strategic and operational questions across the business.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to lead high-impact projects across teams while improving scalability, data quality, product adoption, and business performance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead key go-to-market strategy, product operations, and business operations initiatives
- Act as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team
- Analyze product usage and customer feedback to identify opportunities to improve user behavior
- Support initiatives aimed at reducing overcommunication and increasing app adoption
- Own high-impact go-to-market initiatives that improve growth and retention across products
- Identify, prioritize, and implement cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency and scalability
- Lead data clean-up and enrichment initiatives to make business data cleaner, more reliable, and more useful for future decision-making
- Partner with the finance organization to implement and scale high-priority strategic initiatives
- Manage complex cross-functional projects in a standalone capacity
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Use financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic thinking to support business decisions
- Work directly with data science teams to analyze business questions and improve operational insights
- Communicate complex strategies, findings, and results clearly to different audiences
- Drive measurable results with a high degree of ownership and accountability
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in a highly analytical and strategic role
- Experience in management consulting, investment banking, business operations, strategy, or a similar role within a technology company
- Strong quantitative and analytical skill set
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
- Experience working directly with data science teams
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams independently
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain complex strategies and results to diverse audiences
- Proactive, self-starting approach with a passion for driving results
- High degree of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
