Schedule: Full-time, night shift
Overview
Join a night shift warehouse team at a major wine and spirits distributor. As a warehouse worker, you help keep orders moving by loading and unloading trucks, picking and stocking product, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
What you will do
- Assist on the receiving dock by loading and unloading trucks and trailers
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely, using full peripheral vision
- Place stock into and pull stock from warehouse storage locations
- Chock truck wheels before unloading to ensure safety
- Pick cases from bulk locations to fill forward pick locations
- Stock forward pick locations in the bottle room and full case line neatly and in order
- Restock bottle and case returns from customer orders
- Pick special VIA orders for sales reps and customers
- Store out-of-place, 360, and 370 products as directed by the supervisor
- Sort pallets by size and handle broken cases, reboxing good product and discarding damaged items
- Leave equipment clean and in good working condition for the next shift
- Keep your assigned area of the warehouse clean and orderly
- Follow all safety rules, wear required safety gear, and report any building or equipment damage right away
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
What you bring
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and battery change stations
- Ability to spend considerable time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
- Ability to sit and operate machinery such as a forklift on a regular basis
- Comfort working at heights of 8 feet or more
- Able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 56 pounds
- Willingness to work extra hours during peak periods such as October, November, and December
- Safety focused, reliable, and able to follow company procedures
