Night Cleaner

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday evening and overnight shifts (start around 5:00–6:00 p.m.)
Overview
Join a professional cleaning team as a floor care technician on the night shift. In this role, you use your floor care skills to clean and maintain a variety of facilities, working with commercial equipment to keep floors, carpets, and common areas safe, clean, and presentable.
What you will do
- Travel from the Chicago or Schaumburg office to assigned customer locations in a company vehicle
- Perform floor care services, including scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing hard floors
- Clean and extract carpets and rugs using commercial carpet extractors
- Support project work such as post construction cleanups and detailed deep cleaning
- Use and maintain floor scrubbers, burnishers, and related floor care equipment
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of chemicals and personal protective equipment
- Keep work areas, tools, and vehicles clean, organized, and in good working order
- Communicate with supervisors and office staff by phone, email, and smartphone apps
- Complete required checks, tests, and documentation related to assignments
What you bring
- 3 to 5 years of recent experience in floor care, carpet cleaning, and general custodial work
- Hands on skill with floor scrubbers, floor burnishers, and carpet extractors
- Valid Illinois driver license and a clean driving record
- Ability to work overnight hours, typically starting around 6:00 p.m. and finishing between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m.
- Willingness to complete a background check, driving record review, drug test, and tuberculosis test
- Comfort using email and a smartphone to receive schedules and report updates
- Extra plus: experience with truck mount equipment and window washing
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
