Warehouse Staff

Location: Columbus area

Pay: $20.64 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift differential

Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Position summary

This role supports daily warehouse operations while providing on-shift leadership. You will work alongside supervisors to help meet productivity goals, keep work organized, and promote a safe, efficient operation.

What you will do

• Stage and sort product for loading
• Load and unload trailers
• Support process visibility and communicate status to the shift supervisor
• Lead by example on safety and safe work practices
• Open and close dock doors and help keep the dock area organized
• Keep a clean, safe work area
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Package, kit, label, and prepare product for shipment
• Scan product using a warehouse management system
• Perform quality checks and identify damaged product on receipt and outbound
• Complete daily logs and basic production documentation
• Communicate with associates across shifts
• Maintain inventory records and enter data using a computer
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed
• Support other tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Some years of warehouse experience
• Ability to learn and use company software
• Comfort working in non-climate-controlled conditions
• Strong organization, multitasking, and time management skills
• Ability to lead a small team and work independently
• Ability to work a regular, predictable schedule with reliable attendance
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening

Preferred qualifications

• 2 years of inventory or materials management experience
• 2 years of supervisory experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift certification
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to work overtime

This position is safety sensitive. You must be able to stay alert and work safely at all times, and you are expected to take responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.

Physical requirements

• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and occasional sitting
• Frequent use of hands for handling and reaching
• Regular lifting and moving up to 50 lb
• Occasional lifting and moving up to 100 lb
• Vision and hearing sufficient for a warehouse environment
