Overnight Cleaner

Location: Chicago Area, IL

Status: Full-time

Hourly pay: $18.70 to $22.00

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 9:30 pm to 6:00 am

Position summary

Keep facilities clean, safe, and presentable on the overnight shift. Follow established procedures and work under a custodial supervisor to meet quality and safety standards.

Your day-to-day

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors; vacuum rugs in offices and public areas.
• Dust furniture and surfaces; wash interior glass, doors, windowsills, and partitions.
• Clean and restock restrooms; empty trash and replace liners.
• Spot clean walls and high dust surfaces as assigned.
• Monitor issues like clogged fixtures or lights out and report promptly.
• Shovel or sweep building entrances and walkways as directed during weather events.

What it takes

• No experience required; ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Comfort using common cleaning tools and a backpack vacuum.
• High attention to detail, energy, and reliability.

Work environment

• Indoor commercial setting with routine walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Overnight hours with team collaboration and periodic solo tasks.
