Night Cleaner

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Pay: $21.14 per hour

Role snapshot

Work as supplemental janitorial staff in Center City facilities used to house individuals in isolation or quarantine
for possible COVID-19. You will handle daily cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting so the building stays safe,
sanitary, and in line with customer and company standards.

Main responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect restrooms and common areas
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect rooms, remove used linens and towels, and replace with fresh items
• Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and clean glass and windows
• Follow cleaning schedules and CDC guidelines for infection control and disinfection
• Assist with delivering meals and snacks outside guest rooms
• Pick up and remove discarded food and trash left outside rooms after meals
• Identify customer needs and relay information to the site supervisor
• Inspect your own work to make sure tasks are done correctly and on time
• Adjust cleaning schedule as needed to handle emergency or non emergency situations
• Use good time management and solve problems effectively during the shift

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 months of general cleaning experience
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Able to transport cleaning supplies and equipment and climb stairs and walk throughout the facility
• Comfort bending, stooping, and lifting heavy objects as needed
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and changing schedules
• Reliable, detail focused, and able to work safely in a union environment

Physical demands

• Constant hearing, seeing, walking, bending, stooping, stair climbing, and lifting under 15 lbs
• Frequent standing, speaking, pushing, reaching, and lifting or carrying 15 to 25 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, crouching, and lifting over 50 lbs with assistance
