Hourly pay: $21.00 per hour

Position overview

Keep kitchen and service areas clean, organized, and sanitary. Support the back of house team by operating dish room equipment, washing cookware and utensils, handling deliveries, and following food safety standards.

Main duties

• Operate and maintain dish room equipment per sanitary standards
• Wash pots, pans, trays, utensils, and small wares; clean and reset work areas
• Clean spills promptly and keep floors, stations, and display areas debris free
• Assist with basic prep such as washing and peeling produce as assigned
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas using carts or hand trucks
• Remove trash, separate recyclables, and sanitize bins
• Maintain and refresh restrooms as assigned
• Follow HACCP and all food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Support service by keeping equipment, supplies, and utensils stocked and orderly
• Provide courteous, professional service and relay guest feedback to leadership

Requirements

• Previous dishwashing or kitchen porter experience preferred
• Flexible schedule; extended hours may be required
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and customer focus
• Able to read and follow instructions and safety guidelines

Physical demands

• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to 25 lb without assistance
• Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
