About the Role
This opportunity is for a detail-oriented and collaborative Data Analyst who will use data to support the execution, improvement, and growth of educational programs. The role focuses on cleaning, transforming, processing, and querying program-related datasets to ensure reliable day-to-day data operations.
The Data Analyst will also help maintain data quality, identify operational insights, improve internal processes, and collaborate with program, data, and engineering professionals across the organization. Success in this position requires analytical rigor, exceptional attention to detail, clear communication, and proactive project management.
What You’ll Do
- Execute accurate, reliable, and efficient data operations supporting high school student outreach and a national college matching program.
- Review, test, and audit queries, code, data models, and other analytical work to ensure data integrity and statistical validity.
- Create, maintain, review, and audit documentation for organizational data and data-related processes.
- Develop a deep understanding of program data and connect raw datasets to improve operational efficiency and program outcomes.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement technology-enabled workflows that improve automation, consistency, and efficiency.
- Serve as a cross-functional analytical resource by supporting data-related operations and ad hoc requests across the organization.
- Collaborate with program, data, and engineering teams across multiple departments.
- Use organizational data to identify operational insights and recommend process improvements.
- Support additional organizational projects, tasks, and initiatives as assigned.
- Participate annually in reviewing and evaluating student applications for major programs and other organizational opportunities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of full-time professional experience in data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical thinking to identify data-driven insights and solve complex operational challenges.
- Experience using SQL and Tableau to write precise queries, validate data pipelines, and develop accurate, high-quality dashboards.
- Experience using Python or R to automate data cleaning, transformation, and analytical tasks.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative code management.
- Knowledge of statistical methods for analyzing datasets and validating hypotheses.
- Proven ability to maintain exceptional accuracy and data integrity, including validating datasets, scripts, and reports before delivery to stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize work and independently manage multiple projects from planning through completion.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and incorporate feedback effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, another quantitative field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience working with data in the education sector.
- Demonstrated success delivering accurate, high-quality, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment.
