About the Role
An experienced Training Specialist is needed to support a federal grants management environment by coordinating training initiatives, developing instructional materials, and delivering engaging learning experiences for both internal and external system users. This role plays a critical part in ensuring users are equipped with the knowledge and resources necessary to effectively utilize grants-related systems and processes.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in instructional design, training delivery, knowledge transfer, and user enablement within federal, government, or technology-driven environments. Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, strong collaboration abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
What You'll Do
- Participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of training programs for internal and external grants system users.
- Develop, review, maintain, and update training materials to support evolving business and system requirements.
- Create and enhance job aids, user guides, presentations, and other instructional resources.
- Facilitate training sessions in multiple formats, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid environments.
- Review quarterly knowledge transfer documentation and incorporate system updates into training materials.
- Ensure training content remains accurate, current, and aligned with system enhancements.
- Collect and analyze participant feedback to improve training effectiveness and user engagement.
- Support change management initiatives by identifying training requirements related to system modifications and new releases.
- Deliver training sessions associated with system enhancements, process improvements, and implementation activities.
- Coordinate training efforts across team members to ensure timely delivery of training materials and learning sessions.
- Monitor training workloads and assist in maintaining efficient execution of training activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure training programs meet organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2-4 years of professional training experience.
- Extensive experience developing and delivering training programs.
- Experience supporting federal systems, government programs, or IT-related platforms preferred.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear and effective instructional materials.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships across diverse teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple training priorities in a fast-paced environment.
