About the Role
This opportunity is for a Data Analyst I who will support analytics, data science, and client engagement teams. The role provides exposure to the full analytics process, including collecting and organizing data, analyzing trends, building predictive models, creating data visualizations, and helping clients understand how insights can improve program performance. This position offers mentorship while also allowing independent project ownership in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Pay (Annual): $67,000 per year
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Remote within the U.S. or Washington, D.C.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze data and contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of analytics products and services
- Support the creation of predictive models, analytical tools, and data visualizations
- Review data and modeling results for quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Clean, transform, aggregate, and report on data as needed
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, program managers, and external stakeholders to troubleshoot problems and create solutions
- Document processes and support adoption of new analytical approaches
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver accurate work under short deadlines
- Complete other reasonable tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent work experience
- Conceptual understanding of statistics and modeling foundations, including distributions, parameter estimation, confidence intervals, and hypothesis tests
- Proficiency with a statistical programming language such as R, Python, or Julia
- Ability to create informative and engaging data visualizations using industry-leading tools
- Ability to build predictive models using regression and machine learning techniques
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of experimental design and causal inference
- Ability to create user interfaces for new products using frameworks such as Shiny or Django
- Ability to learn SQL for data manipulation
