Warehouse Staff (Material Handler)

Pay: ~ $18.50/hour
Position summary
This warehouse role supports material movement, inventory tracking, labeling, storage, and shipping activity in a manufacturing environment. You will help move incoming materials, maintain accurate records, and keep warehouse operations organized, safe, and on schedule.
What you’ll do
- Process incoming materials from manufacturing to designated warehouse areas.
- Package partial containers into full containers to required standards.
- Label, close, and cover materials as needed.
- Mark containers with identifying information, lot numbers, and other required details.
- Update, research, and maintain inventory records in the company computer system.
- Enter, retrieve, edit, and print inventory control data, lists, and summaries.
- Follow up on inventory discrepancies such as lost items, inaccurate counts, improper codes, or unidentified parts.
- Use a forklift or hand truck to load and unload trucks and move parts or materials to storage areas or departments.
- Maintain warehousing records and logs, including cycle counts.
- Clean the immediate work area.
- Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor.
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or GED.
- Forklift certification.
- 1 - 3 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse storage locations and warehouse systems.
- Ability to use a forklift, electric crane, pallet jack, calculator, copier, and related equipment.
- Ability to operate warehouse department equipment safely.
- Familiarity with product lines, related hardware, and attachment procedures.
- Familiarity with company quality standards and basic hand tools.
Physical requirements
- Extensive walking over large areas.
- Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to move large, heavy, and bulky cargo with material handling equipment.
- Moderate to heavy lifting.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and depth perception.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and climb on and off equipment.
- Good hearing and corrected vision for safe equipment operation.
- Ability to work in seasonal temperature changes and warehouse conditions.
