About the Role
This opportunity is for an experienced Program Manager who can oversee strategic client programs made up of multiple interconnected projects. The role is responsible for guiding program strategy, coordinating project teams, managing timelines and resources, and ensuring contracted work is completed according to client expectations, goals, and objectives.
This position is highly collaborative and works closely with internal colleagues, consultants, clients, and vendor resources to keep programs moving forward, resolve risks, and support high-quality delivery.
Travel Requirements
Approximately 10%–20% travel may be required based on client and business needs.
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 per year, plus bonus
What You’ll Do
- Manage program workstreams to ensure timely and effective completion of interconnected project activities
- Oversee related project timelines and keep program activities aligned with client expectations
- Direct project teams and coordinate cross-functional activities with internal colleagues, clients, and vendor resources
- Delegate project activities and help resolve schedule and resource conflicts
- Track, prepare, and present internal and client-facing reports and presentations
- Communicate program and individual project progress to client and internal stakeholders
- Evaluate proposed changes to program and project scope
- Influence stakeholders to manage and control scope changes appropriately
- Escalate program risks related to deadlines, budgets, activities, and resources
- Collaborate with client and internal teams to resolve program issues and approved plan modifications
- Maintain program and project management documentation
- Support the development and improvement of best practices, project tools, and internal processes
- Assist with implementation, adoption, and use of new tools, processes, and technology
- Create and maintain internal standard operating procedures as needed
- Accurately track and record project billing hours and budgets in the appropriate systems
- Support consultants and consulting teams with process or project-related issues when requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent related experience
- 7+ years of related project management experience
- Experience in credit union, banking, payments, or a related vendor industry preferred
- Project or program management proficiency, preferably related to vendor evaluations, system evaluations, and vendor selection
- Experience working with enterprise-grade software applications and project management activities
- Project Management Professional certification preferred
- Technical knowledge of Smartsheet, HubSpot, resource management tools, tracking applications, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to learn and use additional software programs as needed
- Strong interpersonal and professional verbal communication skills
- Ability to listen, gather information, build persuasive arguments, and present solutions and recommendations effectively
- Ability to work independently in a peer review environment
- Ability to remove barriers, support success, and champion project management best practices
- Strong change management, risk management, and resource management skills
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear and concise business correspondence
- Strong problem-solving skills with curiosity for identifying root causes before acting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and activity streams with strong time-management skills
- Self-motivated and able to organize and prioritize work to achieve required results

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
