About the Role
The Brand Copywriter is responsible for developing, writing, and maintaining a consistent brand narrative across marketing, sales, digital, and corporate communications. This role owns brand voice and messaging standards while producing website copy, sales collateral, presentations, email content, social media copy, press releases, and executive storytelling. The primary focus is high-quality writing that communicates complex concepts clearly and supports a distinct market position.
The position supports brand positioning within the employee benefits industry, translating complex service offerings into compelling messaging for insurance brokers, employers, carriers, and internal sales teams. In addition to copywriting and content strategy, the role involves creating simple visual assets using Canva, Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly, Figma, or similar tools, coordinating freelance designers, and managing creative production workflows. Writing remains the primary responsibility, with light design execution serving as a secondary capability.
What You'll Do

- Create and maintain the brand book, voice and tone guidelines, editorial standards, and writing documentation that establish a unified messaging framework.

- Translate complex employee benefits concepts and service positioning into clear, audience-specific messaging for brokers, employers, and insurance carriers.
- Develop sales collateral and communication tools that support conversations with prospective clients, channel partners, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with business and sales leadership to identify gaps in sales enablement content and develop materials that address those needs.
- Build and maintain an organized, up-to-date library of approved marketing and sales assets for active use by sales teams.
- Place completed copy into existing design templates and make minor layout adjustments to prepare materials for distribution.
- Own website copywriting, including page architecture, hero messaging, service descriptions, calls to action, and supporting digital content.
- Write, edit, and optimize website messaging to maintain clarity, consistency, and alignment with evolving brand positioning.
- Create and manage light organic LinkedIn content that reflects the established brand voice.
- Write press releases, thought leadership blog posts, and other external communications as needed.
- Develop email copy, social media messaging, executive narratives, and other marketing communications across multiple formats.
- Review and update digital content as services, positioning, and business priorities evolve.
- Use AI-powered and modern design tools, including Canva, Adobe Firefly, Adobe Express, or equivalent platforms, to place copy into existing brand templates.
- Create simple, on-brand visual assets, templated layouts, and preliminary creative concepts without requiring specialist design support for routine production tasks.
- Make basic layout adjustments and evaluate visual materials against brand guidelines and creative direction.
- Prepare creative briefs and provide direction to freelance graphic designers when specialized visual execution is required.
- Coordinate freelance creative partners, including project timelines, deliverables, quality reviews, and approvals.
- Manage creative project intake, production workflows, asset delivery, and multiple concurrent priorities.
- Develop brand training guides and internal communications that support consistent messaging as the brand launches and evolves.
