Warehouse Worker

Employment type: Full-time, contract

Pay: $22/hour

Schedule: 1st and 2nd shifts available, including day and night schedules

About the position

You’ll support high-volume warehouse and distribution operations across trailer loading, shipping, kitting, packaging, order preparation, inventory handling, and general material movement in a climate-controlled facility.

Shipping and order preparation

• Hand-load boxes inside trailers while maintaining safe and organized loads.
• Sort pallets, totes, and boxes into the correct shipping areas.
• Keep staging areas stocked and ready for loading and shipment.
• Scan products and apply labels using RF scan guns.
• Operate automatic taping equipment to seal boxes.
• Band materials together for shipment.
• Prepare discreet packages by covering and taping boxes so contents are not visible.
• Perform picking, packing, rework, kitting, and order picking as needed.

Material handling duties

• Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move pallets and totes.
• Remove products from boxes and place items into totes in the decase area.
• Lift and move totes between conveyor belts and staging areas.
• Break down and dispose of empty boxes.
• Move heavy boxes and totes throughout warehouse areas.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and verify product information.

What you’ll need

• Ability to consistently lift and move boxes weighing 50 to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in a high-volume warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to numbers, labels, product locations, and order accuracy.
• Ability to follow written instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform basic quality checks and inspections.
• Ability to follow warehouse safety procedures and material handling guidelines.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
